Tele school in Pakistan – PM Imran khan launches Tele School Channel
PM Imran khan to launch Pakistan’s first Tele school in Pakistan today PM Imran Khan is all set to launch Pakistan’s first education channel “TeleSchool” today (Monday).
The purpose of airing TeleSchool is to mitigate any effect on academics and ensure that the learning continues during these declared summer vacations till May 31.
The channel will broadcast carefully developed content for class 1 to 12 from 8am to 6pm everyday.
Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood apprised the Prime Minister that twenty million children are out of school and even many adult literates are also not able to read and write beyond their names. He suggested utilizing mobile phones for education and learning as well.
The channel TeleSchool will be available on satellite, terrestrial and cable networks ensuring that 95 percent of Pakistan population is able to access the content.
Teleschool to help locked-down students minimize loss of learning amid corona virus pandemic
The teleschool, that will help children continue education while sitting at home through various educational programs, will be broadcast through Pakistan Television. The government believes it will help minimize the loss of learning children are facing due to the continued closure of schools.
The aim of the initiative is to provide education to children at their doorsteps.
The morning session with English, Maths, Urdu and General Science lessons is dedicated for junior students and the next session with all subjects for seniors.
PM Imran launches Tele School Channel
It would be on air eight-hour to promote education through the channel. The timing of this channel with be 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. In the morning session, juniors will be given classes followed by seniors. He said, “PTV starts broadcasting the content within the next Few days”. After giving final touches to the educational content mechanism, it would be handed over to PTV. The content will be delivered from class 1 to 12.
The channel will be launched today 13 April 2020 by Prime Minister Imran Khan and regular broadcast on 14 April 2020.
