The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has the sole authority to regulate the operations of oil and gas as well as they also controls the Petrol Price in Pakistan. However, the Petroleum Prices in Pakistan is continuously ups and down because the rate of petrol is depend upon several factors which include; economic conditions, globally transformation in oil and gas, political instability and etc.

On the monthly basis the OGRA department provides Petrol rates, High Speed Diesel, light Speed Diesel and Kerosene oil as per the liter. Apart from that the prices are determined as per the area or region. Thereby, every region in Pakistan has distinct petrol prices. While the region of Punjab is extensively depend upon the petrol for fueling their vehicles.
For the month of May 2020, OGRA had recommended the Petroleum Division to decrease the prices of petroleum related products
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification for decrease in the prices of petroleum products.

Petrol price in Pakistan, updated petrol, diesel prices for month of july 2020
Owing to sharp decline in crude oil prices in the international market, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has recommended to the government to reduce petroleum products’ prices by up to Rs44 per litre for july, 2020.
Early The OGRA regulatory body has suggested that the price of diesel may be reduced by Rs33.94 per litre, petrol by Rs20.68/ litre, kerosene oil by Rs44.07/ litre and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs24.57/ litre.
OGRA has recommended to reduce the price of petroleum products by up to Rs 44 per liter from May 1. According to sources, a summary of reduction in prices of petroleum products has been sent to the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Finance.
World oil prices fell again by 15% Government decides to lift ban on petrol imports OGRA has recommended a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 20.68 paise and high speed diesel by Rs 33.94 paise.
Sources said that it has been recommended to reduce the price of light diesel oil by Rs 24.57 per liter and kerosene by Rs 44.7 per liter.
According to OGRA sources, after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Finance Ministry will announce a reduction in prices on April 30.
It is to be noted that oil prices in the world market have come down to the lowest level in history since then the government is being demanded to provide immediate relief to the people.
