Prime Minister’s Office Islamabad observance of iqbal day (9th november as public holiday. The Prime Minister has been pleased to desire that 9th november (iqbal day) shall henceforth be osbserd as a public holiday.
وزیراعظم آفس اسلام آباد میں یوم اقبال (9 نومبر کو عام تعطیل کے طور پر) منایا گیا۔ وزیراعظم نے اس خواہش پر خوشی کا اظہار کیا کہ 9 نومبر (یوم اقبال) کو اب عام تعطیل کے طور پر منایا جائے گا۔
Iqbal Day holiday notification 2022
It is interesting to note here that the a public holiday on Iqbal Day was suspended in 2015 during the previous tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N). Following the 2015 decision, a petition was moved to the Lahore High Court (LHC), contending that 9th November should be observed as a public holiday in memory of the national poet.
